Skin Tone Correctors: DIY

So we've all heard about it right? Skin tone correctors, but what are they, and are they worth investing in? Read on to find out the benefits and a cool DIY trick

Correctors are a creamy product that evens out unwanted dark pigmentation on the skin, be it old acne scars or dark circles under our eyes. The correctors for dark circles and scars usually come in a salmon color or a warm peachy color. But which color is right for you? Fair cool skin takes well to salmon colored correctors, while peach is the way to go for warm skin tones.

So now that you know the benefits of correctors are you ready for a little trick? Instead of going out and buying a corrector, you could mix a salmon pinky lipstick, or a warm coral lipstick with a creamy concealer you already have. Being able to color the concealer with the lipstick yourself helps get a better saturation of color for your personal skin tone. After making sure your  homemade corrector is mixed throughly it's ready for use.

To used a corrector simply apply to a trouble spot and blend as usual, after blending apply your regular concealer over the top, and just like that your dark spots are a thing of the past. Enjoy darlings!

Flat Hair Fix: DIY

Ever have to run out the door quick but your hair is totally limp? I know i've been there, so I have a tip to make sure that never happens again!

If you have second day hair, or just hair that has lost all its volume a great trick is to rub a little baby powder in your roots. This is also a great trick if your hair is slightly oily because the baby powder will absorb the oil and give you lift.  Dont't have baby powder? Baking soda could also do the trick
